李安自1992年導演處女作《推手》以來，24年燦爛電影成就再獲肯定，由英國影藝學院洛杉磯分部主辦的大不列顛獎，５日宣布將於10月的頒獎典禮中，將傑出導演獎頒給李安，主席凱蘭布林（Kieran Breen）盛讚：「李安無疑是當代最具前瞻性的導演之一，不僅有卓越的國際電影成就，更不斷展現大膽的選擇與發人深省的觀點。」

李安的新作《半場無戰事》11月才上映，卻早是明年獎季各大電影的假想敵，獲頒大不列顛獎堪稱搶先開胡。大不列顛獎性質接近成就獎，歷年導演獎得主包括昆汀塔倫提諾（Quentin Tarantino）、克里斯多夫諾蘭（Christopher Nolan）、丹尼鮑伊（Danny Boyle）等國際名導。

李安將在16日於美國廣播電視協會於賭城舉辦的全球跨媒體創新峰會「NAB Show」上，首度正式公開《半場無戰事》電影片段，他不僅將親自出席，還會以3D立體、4K高解析、每秒120幀，搭配雙雷射投影系統的理想播放規格，讓萬眾期待的新作轟動面世。
